ANAVAMI CENTER NEWS: 

It has been a while since the blog/newsletter Light Link from Anavami Studio has gone out and not from any lack of news or exciting happenings. I am preparing for the journey in June to the Hill Towns of Tuscany and Umbria, led by Diane Cornell through the Sierra Club Tours. I will be using the Seven Principles of Leonardo da Vinci for our creative journal exploration and look forward to the leisurely sensual eleven day tour starting in Rome and ending in Florence, spending most of our time in the country. Studio Anavami will be active in my absence.

As you will see there has been a lot going on the last few months, including a studio move so Project Re-Myth has been put on the back burner where it is simmering like and Italian tomato sauce, getting richer and more savory. We are working madly on The Emerging Cosmic Myth of Our Time Seminar which will fold into the experimental format of the Project Re-Myth which is community based, combining performance arts. In the year- seminar in collaboration with Pamela Wylie, we are using material from leading cosmologist. Much of the material comes from Pamela Eakins. Please see her book launching event next month in the CALENDAR. Two of the local authors, Joel Primack and Nancy Abrams, View From the Center of the Universe came by for a studio visit. They were very interested in what we were doing with the scientific cosmological material in our painting circles. They truly believe that the new mythology, which will change the direction of civilization of our planet, is based the collaboration of the arts and science. new studio space Ellen and I had a wonderful weekend workshop April 27-28 Wild Woman, La Loba with participants coming from the Bay Area and beyond. More than a painting circle it was an experience in recognizing and activating that feral part of ourselves that nurtures our instinctual nature. There was movement, ritual and exercises to connect to those elemental forces, with moments of crawling around on the floor painting and interacting with each other’s paintings while throwing divinations objects. It was a powerful way to reconnect with that deep creative energy and by popular demand a continuation will be offered again in the fall. Not necessary to have taken the first worlshop. (You know this stuff! Come re-member, Come Play!)

Pamela Wylie and Ellen O’Hanlon will offer a workshop called The Power of the Magnetism of Your Heart's Desire Revealed

There resides at the heart of the Universe the quantum realm of all miracles, the core creative power of Love. This realm of potential intelligence exists where there is no space, no distance and no time and is represented as the Upper Triangle on the Kabalistic glyph of the Tree of Life. We exist in three domains simultaneously and a large part of our beings, in fact the main part of us, our intelligence, our consciousness, exists in what is currently being called the Non-Local Domain. 

Centered in an open and awakened heart, we exist in a sea of infinite Cosmic possibilities.  From that Cosmic sea what Love awakens in our hearts we begin to create. What our hearts focus upon, what we desire to consider solid is solid. When we hear Love calling, we can consciously ignite and identify the energies in our daily physical reality from the Non-Local Domain of The Upper Triangle of The Tree of Life.  The magnetic chemistry of Love in our lives then transforms the possibilities dancing in the Cosmic sea all around us into our reality.   Join us as we tap into the magnetic power of Love as it creates and transforms our worlds.

Using paint, mixed media and symbols of our hearts desire:

We will create and construct a sacred container for our Heart's Desire.

We will explore the power of the symbols of your Love and activate the magnetism of the Power of Love.

Ellen Painting during Wild Woman Workshop We held this workshop in our new studio space which is only a couple of doors (rolling) down from the last on the corner of the building. It is so much more quiet and filled with light. We went from empty in March to full in April. There are still lots of changes going on. Be sure and come by for Open Studio in October. Many of you know my new co-facilitator at Anavami Studio Ellen O’Hanlon, CMT,CCHT, artist and intuitive empathic with a private practice in Santa Cruz as a holistic health practitioner, body worker, re-birther, transpersonal hypnotherapist, counselor and group facilitator. Ellen has a backgroung in modern dance from both Hunter College and Cooper Union in New York City. Ellen will be facilitating paining circles in June on Wednesday Mornings from 10-1.
